We were here for a fantastic meal about 2 years ago and were very impressed. Since then the concept has changed considerably. No amuse bouche only baguette was the first noticeable difference. The food in each course was cooked with some obvious skill but lacked seasoning and for the price can only be described as adequate. For this type of restaurant I can only describe the service as poor. We waited too long for everything from receiving the menu right through to receiving the bill. Plates were not cleared etc etc. We were dining with our children who both had a full price main. These were both served before our starters instead of with our mains. When we asked the service what we were eating the description provided was less than that what was written on the menu and very general. The service was friendly but not skilled or passionate. The meal was ok but compared to the quality of similar priced restaurants it’s a generous 3 stars. 2 adults 3 courses & 2 children only main €180 - we won’t be returning

Lovely hotel in paradise. 10 minutes from city center and 10 minutes to highway. Lovely quiet rooms in the middle of nature. Only thing I would recommend mosquito screens to be installed to avoid those little devil's coming into the room in the summer time as hotel is next to river and mosquitoes love this area. Nevertheless great location and hotel! Super friendly staff. Ceck about restaurant opening times - we were there when the restaurant was closed (Monday night) so did not get to try out the dinner, but it sounds very promising.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. My father and I went there for lunch yesterday, and everything was perfect. The place was empty (but it is August...), yet we wanted to book again on the weekend and it was fully booked, I therefore strongly recommend a reservation (and probably a week ahead).
Otherwise, everything was perfect: the kir royal (neither too weak or too strong), the creamy chanterelle soup (hot, with whole mushrooms, one of the best I have had), the bread (white and with grains) along with the butter and paprika spreads, the wiener schnitzel (meat was cooked and breaded to perfection, the four side dishes complimented it just as perfectly), the espressos, the service, and the price as well. We did not have wine with our meal, but with starters, main dishes, two coffees, a bottle of sparkling water and an aperitivo we paid 83€, and were pleasantly full. This address beats the restaurant of the "Romantik hotel gravenberg" hands down in every aspect. English menus are available.
