Quite a surprise accidental discovery while casually looking for somewhere to stay before returning a car to Cologne the next day. What a find! Aside from the obvious kitsch factor, which truly is worth a visit on its own, the staff were just so welcoming, helpful and friendly, and the accommodation was top of the range at good value for money. We were encouraged to use the Churchill Room to have our dinner so we could watch the French Open final on the big screen. We earlier had one of the room crew cheerfully run down the stairs to the kitchen when she found me looking for some ice cubes in the upstairs guest kitchen. We were in the James Bond suite above the front entrance, so we had the treat of watching the one-car tourist train come and go. The room was huge, the en-suite bathroom ultra-modern, and the towels outstanding for a hotel. Very comfortable bed too, and a vertical fan stand was appreciated. We treated ourselves to the breakfast, and weren’t disappointed. Bottom line: give yourself a break from penny-pinching and just enjoy what the imagination of your hosts has created. Service: 5

The most fantastic hotel I ever stayed. Over the top British, fun! Thickest towels, best service, great food. Staying at the Little Britain Inn is a superb holiday in itself. Don’t miss it! Service: 5
