Dear Mr Weijs, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry to hear that you were unwell following your visit. We understand that this must have been a stressful situation for you. Following a thorough investigation, we can definitively rule out any link to the food served at our restaurant. Our chanterelle soup and meatballs are prepared fresh every day. The meatballs were made that morning, cooked thoroughly and stored in accordance with all applicable hygiene and refrigeration regulations until they were served. On that day, we served over 30 portions of chanterelle soup and approximately 14 of the 20 portions of meatballs that had been prepared. No other guest has reported a similar complaint to us. Furthermore, we attach the utmost importance to hygiene, the quality of our fresh ingredients and compliance with all food safety regulations. Naturally, we also retain the required retention samples, which can be examined if necessary. We very much regret that you had this experience. At the same time, we ask for your understanding that, based on the symptoms described, it is not possible to determine conclusively what caused them. For this reason, we cannot confirm the claim that our food was the cause. We wish you all the best and, above all, good health
