Tri Hotel is more than a hotel. It is an excellent wellness place in Rostock, with an indoors pool & sauna, and a Biergarten. Like a 3 in 1. It is off the beaten track near Schweizer Wald (riverine woods). It has exotic and funky decoration, including large psychedelic wall paintings. The bar is for rock’n’roll lovers. The food in the Biergarten appears gourmet but it’s a bit is a bit dry. Dogs are welcome; children are not. Fabidorio Maccastuff recommends. Service: 5

Really nice place would be better if they had 50cl+ beers and snacks like peanuts. :) otherwise really nice hotel i recomend it. Service: 5

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. My husband and I recently tried to book a two-night stay at TRI Hotel Rostock using a Jochen Schweizer gift voucher we received for Christmas. Before booking, we did exactly what any careful customer should do: we called the hotel directly to confirm whether bringing our dog would be possible, since the voucher details did not mention anything about pets. The receptionist we spoke to clearly told us that bringing a dog would be “no issue at all.” We were instructed to proceed with the booking via Jochen Schweizer and simply send an email afterward to inform the hotel that we would be bringing a dog. Based on this explicit confirmation, we completed the reservation and immediately followed the instructions given. Later that same day, we received a response from the assistant manager stating that dogs are not allowed in the rooms allocated through Jochen Schweizer bookings unless we pay an additional €70. This directly contradicted what we had been told on the phone. When we pointed this out, instead of acknowledging the miscommunication or trying to resolve the issue, we were essentially accused of lying. We were sent a screenshot of the hotel’s website and told that no one from reception would have said what we described. This was both unprofessional and unacceptable. We had no reason to fabricate anything—we explicitly called ahead to avoid exactly this kind of situation. The fact that the hotel dismissed our account outright rather than taking responsibility for inconsistent information reflects very poorly on their customer service. As a result, we canceled our stay. What was meant to be a relaxing getaway turned into a costly and stressful experience. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this hotel, especially when booking through third-party providers or if you have specific requirements such as bringing a pet. Based on our experience, internal communication appears inconsistent, and customer concerns are not handled with the level of professionalism one would expect. There are many other hotels in Rostock that value their guests and communicate clearly—this was not one of them. Service: 1
