Essen war dieses Mal etwas besser.. einfach aber soweit in Ordnung. Teuer leider auch für die Menge.. 5€ für zusätzlich überbacken mit Metaxa. Die nicht wirklich kräftig schmeckt. Ca. 20 für Gyros überbacken... Schade. Komme trotzdem nochmal wieder. Alle guten Dinge sind drei. Macht euch selber ein Bild - Geschmack liegt im Auge des Betrachters. I have been visiting Restaurant Philippi in Lehrte once a year since 2015, and every single visit feels like coming home to Greece. Located in the heart of Lehrte on Mittelstraße, this traditional Greek restaurant has been a beloved local institution for over 30 years, and it’s easy to see why it consistently earns top ratings (4.6–4.7 stars across platforms). From the moment you step inside, the warm, welcoming atmosphere wraps around you. The décor is tasteful and inviting – think classic Greek touches without being over-the-top – and the staff treats you like family. Whether it’s the friendly owner, the attentive waiters, or the familiar faces who remember returning guests, the hospitality here is genuine and heartfelt. Even when the place fills up quickly with happy locals (a clear sign of its popularity), the service remains fast, efficient, and personal. The food is the real star. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and obvious care. My absolute favorites include the perfectly seasoned Gyros, which is juicy and flavorful every time, the crisp and refreshing salads with their fantastic homemade dressings, and the warm, aromatic house bread that I could eat on its own. The Tzatziki is creamy and garlicky in all the right ways, the souvlaki is tender and grilled to perfection, and the mixed grill plates offer a wonderful variety for sharing. I’ve tried many classics over the years, and the quality has remained consistently excellent – never greasy, never disappointing, always full of authentic Mediterranean taste. Portions are generous without being wasteful, and the prices are very fair for the quality and quantity you receive. Whether I’m dining alone, with family, or with friends, there’s something on the menu for everyone, including lighter options and kid-friendly choices. What makes Philippi special is the reliability. In a world where many restaurants change hands or cut corners, this place has stayed true to its roots while making every guest feel valued. It has become my personal annual highlight – a comforting reminder that some traditions are worth keeping. If you’re in or near Lehrte and craving honest, delicious Greek food in a cozy, family-run setting, do yourself a favor and visit Restaurant Philippi.
