Well, if ever there was a place that is a pure understatement from the outside: Fuji in Ehrenfeld would.be.it! Went here for a spontaneous Monday evening talk and dine with a very close friend. We were both craving something light and nice and having walked past Fuji so many times finally decided to just give it a try. Of course they have Sushi - I don't know if it's good, I most likely will never find out. For their Japanese non-sushi food is outstanding in love of detail, aroma, display, craft and clear love poured on every dish. The tonkatsu I had was perfect, the sprouts below giving it just the right contrast, the lightly citrussy-seasme-soy dressing countering my salad was refreshing. The eggplant with miso, a personal favorite I frequently order at all true Japanese places, was most likely the best I've had in Germany to this date. Thank you to staff and kitchen and everybody bringing this to Ehrenfeld. I will not walk past Fuji ever again, but be back over and over again: And so should you!
