A local friend recommended Filippos Taverna to me, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. I’ve tried tavernas all over Cyprus, but this one truly left me speechless. I especially want to mention the incredible quality of the fruits and vegetables. All of the vegetables come straight from the owner’s garden, and you can really taste the difference — everything is fresh, flavorful, and full of character. One of the warmest touches was at the end of dinner, when the owner brought us a plate full of freshly harvested berries from his farm. Moments like that make the experience feel genuine, personal, and unforgettable. Highly recommended! Whoa !!!!! This is the Holy Grail of local food. The vegetables come from his own garden, lamb from his neighbors farm, and the wine is from the vineyard up the hill. If you’re a western European or American who has had to settle for the same old, same old from Sysco or corp food supply, this is your chance to escape! The owner and his son cook and serve the food. The haters who are leaving negative reviews are complaining because the meat is the way it should be, not squishy grain fed crap buy instead the real deal from the local farm. Unbelievable fresh and tasty whatever you order. It should also be noted that the owner just doesn’t serve you food but takes great satisfaction in FEEDING you the best possible from his heart. It’s his calling life and you can clearly tell anything else is not an option for him. Dine here and the experience with feed your heart and soul! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
