The place and the ambience are very nice and modern. It's large and open, yet intimate and cosy. The entire menu inspired by the Amazon River area is very delightful and full of surprising and satisfying flavours. The dishes are immaculately presented and the service is very warm and friendly. However, I didn't enjoy the wine pairing at all. Wine preference can vary but both me and my partner are experimental, yet the drinks were just not good and didn't go in any way together with the food. Next time I'd rather order a bottle I like for the dinner. Also maybe its me but we were asked to wait in the lounge before dinner and asked if we would like to start with a champagne - it just felt like it's included in the meal but it wasn't and that's a small thing when you're paying so much but I would have liked that to be clear and the price known. Overall we spent 4 hours and had a lovely experience! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €100+

Simply amazing food and service. Esszimmer is a double Michelin Star rated restaurant on the 3rd floor of BMW Welt (BMW World) in the Olympiazentrum neighborhood of Munich. Chef Bobby Bräuer and his team produce a multi-course extravaganza of amuse bouches, main dishes, and desserts that are worth the hefty asking price. There are two menus - standard and vegetarian - for which you can choose 5-to-8 courses. A third menu provides wine pairings to go with each course. Our experience involved a choice of five meat/fish options, two cheese-driven options, and one sweet dessert. The attentive staff was extremely accommodating of my family’s dietary restrictions and spoke to us in English, which made it much easier to understand the complex ingredients explained in detail. Our table overlooked the BMW Welt “showroom” of unique sedans, which provided a pleasant view for the 3-hour cavalcade of culinary delights. We could have stayed longer, but our time zone lag meant it was time to retire to our hotel with full stomachs and a great memory of this wonderful restaurant. My wife and I agreed this was the best meal we have ever eaten. And our 11-year-old “foodie” son smiled the entire night, which might give a better idea of how excellent Esszimmer München really is. One note, despite e-mailing the restaurant and completing several requests about dietary restrictions, the staff seemed surprised about my family member’s needs. However, they were able to pivot quickly and all was fine. That was very much appreciated.
