The restaurant has a big terrace (which serves as a winter terrace during the colder months, and as a totally open terrace in warmer months), with lot of space. Of course, the atmosphere seems adjusted to the masses of the tourists visiting Ruedesheim. The prices are reasonable, taking into account the restaurant is placed in the most popular street of a "tourist" town of Ruedesheim. However, I have 2 reasons to justify 3/5 stars rating: - the prices (and price-to-quality ratio) are more expensive in comparison to similar restaurants in other tourist hot-spots around Germany - after the food arrived, and we asked for an additional plate for a 3-year old, the waiter initially argued we should order a "child-dish". That's bullocks, and insulting. If there's even one adult ordering a dish accompanying a 3-(or 1/2/4/5) year old, one should not pressure the customer in ordering a "child-dish". Even worse is the case if there's 2+ adults, each ordering their own main course meal... Our group was: three adults and one 3-year old child. My impression was, this was not the waiter's first rodeo when a group with small children arrives. Finally: Before I wrote this review, I realized the restaurant is the kind of restaurants that deletes the "bad" reviews, i.e. the deletion rate is insanely high in comparison to total number of reviews. Google Maps in Germany shows to anyone the amount of reviews a restaurant/place has (requested to be) deleted. This just confirms my impression of the place. Since I have proofs and witnesses to my experience, I would like to see if the restaurant would object my review. Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section, Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Fantastic meal and people. Lost phone here while on river cruise and owners later posted it to me In Australia. Enjoyed our meal of Sauerbraten & dumplings immensely
