A Hidden Gem Bringing Authentic Malaysian Soul to Munich As a Malaysian, I have to say—Champor is nothing short of exceptional. Finding authentic Malaysian cuisine in Germany is rare, but what Kiren and her husband have created here is truly special. **The Food** — This is where Champor truly shines. My nasi kandar was absolutely authentic: fragrant, perfectly spiced, with tender meat and vegetables that spoke of quality ingredients. My wife's nasi lemak was equally impressive—the sambal had that perfect heat and complexity, the rice was aromatic and fluffy, and every component was prepared with genuine care. This isn't fusion or compromise—it's the real thing. As someone from Malaysia, I can genuinely say the flavors transported me home. **The Ambience** — Champor has transformed into an elegant, intimate dining space that manages to feel both sophisticated and welcoming. The outdoor terrace is beautifully lit with thoughtful lighting design and lush greenery—perfect for an evening meal. The indoor space is equally impressive, with modern touches and warm details that create an atmosphere of understated luxury. It's the kind of place where you want to linger. **The Service & Hospitality** — This is where we were truly touched. Kiren and her husband's warmth and genuine hospitality went far beyond what we expected. They treated us not as customers, but as friends—engaging us in conversation, and creating a connection that made the evening truly memorable. This personal touch is something you simply cannot replicate. It speaks to their heart and passion for what they do. **A Final Word** — In a city full of restaurants, Champor stands out not just for exceptional food, but for the soul behind it. Whether you're Malaysian and craving home, or simply adventurous with food, Kiren's restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We've already exchanged numbers, and we're looking forward to meeting again when they visit Malaysia in December. If that doesn't tell you something about the experience, I don't know what will. Ordered the chilli wanton and murtabak for starters and I would say it tasted alright. But for the mains, got recommended the "platter" that came with chicken, beef, potato and some vegetables and also the spicy duck with rice and I would like to say it tasted delicious. Lasty for the dessert, tried the sago with coconut cream and jelly and it is quite unique. Overall would highly recommend if you are looking for Malaysian food in Munich. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes
