Food is good-nothing special but it is really expensive for this kind of simple cuisine, it is exaggerated. We didn't get starter because there was very limited offer. The service staff and view is very good. Also wine selection is good despite of very limited offer of food. This is the restaurant part, in middle. Ground floor is more casual, serves pizza; upper level is birreria, but middle level is restaurant. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The four of us spontaneously stopped by the Basteria am Rhein on a Wednesday evening. Ambiance: OK. Service: Super attentive, super friendly and fast. Food: Plenty of pizzas on offer. We had the bruschetta with goat cheese, prosichiutto and Marsalla plums and the vitello tonnato. Can only be recommended for the taste. However, the portions were a bit too small for the price. The prices for the pizzas are ok, the size is right. Drinks: Good selection of wines, the selection of soft drinks and beer is limited, still ok for a Basteria. However, the prices for Pils & Kölsch are steep, a 0.2l beer for €2.60 is already borderline, despite the location and the beautiful view of the Rhine. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
