ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE: A €4.60 bill (for two coffees!) turned into an hour-long, frustrating ordeal. I am completely stunned by the archaic payment policy and the resulting conflict at Restaurant Alexander. This place proudly displays credit card and mobile payment logos, yet staff informed us after our two coffees that there is a secret, unposted minimum limit of €50 for card payments. Our total bill was a mere €4.60. This hidden, ridiculous rule forced my wife to waste over an hour of her time searching for an ATM in the area—an absurd and unacceptable request for such a trivial amount. After a full hour without giving me an alternative , they finally (and grudgingly) allowed me to pay by phone. To add insult to injury, they only processed the payment for €10 and gave me just €5 in change, essentially overcharging us for the extreme inconvenience they created! This is not only an infuriating lack of customer service but also a dishonest business practice due to the lack of clear notification. If you only accept cash for transactions under €50, you MUST post it clearly at the entrance. Avoid the payment headache and the utter disrespect for your time. Pay cash, or better yet, dine elsewhere. I have never experienced such a ridiculous payment fiasco in a professional establishment. Zero stars if possible.

Food & drinks: I can't recommend this restaurant, the steak was inedible, the salad wasn't worth mentioning and the service was very unfriendly, even the side dishes were never again from Aldi
